Environmental policy — NOTE Torsby AB

Purpose:
The principles and the qualitative goals described in this environmental policy form the basis for our ecological way of thinking. We consider them a long-term obligation that will be realized gradually.

Responsibility:
The CEO is responsible for environmental policy. The also means that the CEO has main responsibility for ensuring that the policy has been announced to all interested parties, and for initiating goal statements and follow-up based on this policy so that the intentions of the policy are met.

Scope:
The policy applies to the effect on the environment of the entire company and reflects the obligation of senior management to ensure that the organization adheres to applicable laws and strives for continual improvement in environmental efforts. The policy will serve as the basis for establishing our general and specific environmental goals. Both internal and external interests will be able to understand the policy. The policy will be evaluated and reworked regularly so that it will always take changing conditions and new information into consideration.

Environmental policy:
NOTE Torsby AB will work for long-term, sustainable development by offering production that takes the environment into consideration during the entire process and prevents unnecessary negative effects on the environment.

This will be achieved by

• working for increased interest in the environment among the company´s interests*
• continually improving our environmental efforts
• striving to make our energy consumption more efficient, environmentally adapt our purchases, source-sorting and recycling as much as possible.
• striving to coordinate transportation to minimize the effect on the environment.
• opening account for our environmental efforts
• meet or exceed applicable environmental regulations.

Fulfillment:
Process routines will be coordinated with our quality system so that environmental efforts will take place in an effective manner tailored to the workplace. This will allow for the engagement of all employees and environmental responsibility in everyone`s work assignments will be made clear.

The company will provide continuing education of employees in environmental issues and how to handle them; everyone will feel involved and understand his or her own opportunity to have an effect on our environment.

Our cooperation with local environmental authorities will take place through at least one annual contact by our environmental coordinator.

The action plan for a year is prepared once a year to make prioritization of environmental efforts possible. There will be active coordination of internal environment work.
